We are supporters of ‘Strakstiltakene’, the property market’s biggest environmental improvement program

We’ve worked for a long time with the environment and sustainability in Norway and abroad. Our systematic approach to sustainability involves social responsibility and a clear ambition of meeting the expectations of the market. We’re now going one step further, and joining the Strakstiltakene initiative from Norsk Eiendom and Grønn Byggallianse.

The initiative is part of the property sector’s road map towards 2050, developed by Grønn Byggallianse and Norsk Eiendom to ensure the green transformation of the industry. By joining, Linstow commits to implementing ten green initiatives in its plans and routines over the course of one year, contributing to a boost for the industry to achieve results. Linstow has worked for a long time with the environment and sustainability in Norway and abroad”, says the Group CEO.

A milestone

Linstow is a major landlord within the industry, with hotels, office buildings and shopping centres in its portfolio. By joining the Strakstiltakene initiative, 25% of commercial buildings in Norway are now covered by the initiative.

– Linstow is a major player that owns, develops and manages property in Norway and abroad. Every industry sector will be increasingly measured on climate initiatives and sustainability, which is why it’s important that we need to implement them in buildings, whether for offices, hotels or shopping centres, says the head of Grønn Byggallianse, Katharina Bramslev.

Managing Director of Norsk Eiendom, Tone Tellevik Dahl, agrees: “I am delighted that Linstow has committed to working systematically with sustainability. They also have a strong international presence, especially in the Baltics. Through its strong environmental focus, the company will be able to influence the foreign market and its players.”

– More effective use of resources

Linstow is in the process of certifying its existing buildings according to BREEAM In-Use, and we have decided that all new buildings or renovation of office buildings will be BREEAM certified to ‘Excellent’ grade at least. The entire portfolio of properties must be under continuous review for direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions.

- Our systematic approach to sustainability involves social responsibility and a clear ambition of meeting the expectations of the market. By raising environmental awareness in our properties and projects, we’re making a positive contribution to our surroundings and profitability, says Mortensen.
