Linstow Becomes a Corporate Partner of AKTIV Against Cance
Linstow has become a corporate partner of AKTIV Against Cancer, an organization dedicated to integrating physical activity as part of cancer treatment and rehabilitation. Through this partnership, Linstow aims to raise awareness of how activity, community, and the built environment influence health and quality of life.
The partnership is founded on a shared understanding that health is created through the interaction between people, their surroundings, and physical activity. For Linstow, this also means exploring how places, buildings, and urban spaces can contribute to improved quality of life, stronger communities, and a greater sense of wellbeing in everyday life.
Through our work in health-promoting urban development, we explore how real estate and city development can contribute positively to public health and daily life. This is not only about access to healthcare services, but also about creating environments that make it easier for people to stay active, connect with others, and experience a sense of belonging.
AKTIV Against Cancer represents work that is closely aligned with these perspectives. Over time, the organization has played an important role in highlighting the value of physical activity, empowerment, and community as part of treatment and rehabilitation pathways.
A Partnership with Shared Ambitions
As a corporate partner, Linstow wants to contribute to greater awareness of how physical activity and inclusive meeting places can strengthen health and quality of life.
The partnership is also about learning and collaboration across professional disciplines, organizations, and sectors—something we believe is essential to addressing the health challenges of the future.
For Linstow, this is a natural extension of our ambition to develop places that not only function well physically, but also contribute to social sustainability, activity, and wellbeing over time.
Part of Our Work in Health-Promoting Urban Development
The partnership with AKTIV Against Cancer is connected to several of Linstow’s initiatives in health and community development, including the Building Health research project and the development of social and health-promoting meeting places at the former Veterinary College campus in Adamstuen, Oslo.
What these initiatives have in common is a desire to explore how buildings, public spaces, activity, and collaboration can contribute to better everyday lives and stronger local communities.
We believe that the places of the future must be developed with people’s health and quality of life as an integrated part of urban and community development.
